Join Miller Legg, an HFW partner firm, as a Project Landscape Architect and contribute to designing, planning, and managing landscape architecture projects that enhance outdoor spaces while aligning project objectives with environmental and sustainability stewardship. Lead while collaborating with clients, engineers, urban planners, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and functional landscape solutions. The successful candidate will prepare site plans, conceptual design, details, specifications, and cost estimates, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations. The role requires analyzing environmental reports, conducting site assessments, and incorporating sustainable design principles. Effective collaboration with project teams and clear communication with clients are essential to deliver high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have experience in landscape architecture, site planning, and project controls/management, with proficiency in industry-standard design software. This role requires a creative, detail-oriented professional who can work independently and as part of a team to bring visionary landscape projects to life. Essential Responsibilities

Plan, design, and manage open spaces that include both built and natural environments. Create innovative and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces for people to relax and enjoy. Ensure changes to the natural environment are sustainable, appropriate, and sensitive to existing surroundings. Work on diverse projects, including parks and recreation, greenways and trails, urban design and redevelopment, transportation and streetscapes, housing, habitat restoration, educational campuses as well as healthcare and wellness facilities. Collaborate directly with external project partners, including architects, planners, arborists, environmentalists, engineers, and surveyors. Conduct site analysis, opportunities and constraints assessments, including feasibility studies for landscape projects. Utilize industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, 3D tools (SketchUp, Lumion), Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS mapping for design and visualization. Oversee project implementation, including construction coordination, site inspections, and reporting. Engage with clients to understand project goals and provide innovative solutions. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging landscape architecture technologies. Support marketing efforts, including preparing presentations and project proposals. Guide and coach other Landscape Architects and project landscape designers. Qualifications

U.S. accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture or a related field. 3+ years Florida Licensed Landscape Architect required; experience in other states is a plus. 8+ years of experience in landscape architecture, urban planning, or related design fields. FDOT or other state transportation design experience including MicroStation is a plus. Proficiency in AutoCAD, LandFX, 3D software (SketchUp/Lumion), GIS, and Adobe Creative Cloud. Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and environmental planning. Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and project staff to meet deadlines. Strong horticulture and plant knowledge. Experience leading assembly construction documents, reports and exhibits. Experience conducting quality reviews and providing project guidance. Experience with permitting processes and regulatory compliance preferred. Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients. Perks and Benefits
