Civil Engineer (Entry Level)

This position is for someone starting out in their Civil Engineering career and offers room for growth along with a variety of experiences. Under the guidance of our Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager you'll be a key player in supporting the Department's project work from design through construction. What You'll Do: Learn & Grow by working alongside Watts' senior engineers and project managers to gain valuable industry knowledge. Read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings, manuals, design codes and documents. Contribute to writing Engineering Reports and studies, including Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Reports, and technical specifications Site Visits & Inspections: Travel to project sites across New York State to assess existing conditions and perform construction observations. Who You Are: 0-3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or land development A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) – preferred FE certification (or actively working toward it) – preferred Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Microsoft Office Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams A problem-solving mindset with great attention to detail What We Offer Exposure to a variety of land development and civil engineering projects.
