Fitter/Fabricator - 1st Shift
Location: Brookfield, WI Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Pay: $26 - $30/hour (Based on experience)
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fitter/Fabricator to join our team on 1st shift. In this role, you'll be responsible for reading blueprints, fitting components, and performing MIG welding to assemble high-quality products. Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine welding and fabrication requirements
Lay out, align, and fit components according to specifications, using blueprints, BOMs, and verbal instructions
Check parts for accuracy, fit, and clearance
Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld components in preparation for final MIG welding
Select appropriate tools and plan assembly layout for welding tasks
Set up welding machines based on project requirements
Use a variety of hand and power tools as needed
Perform visual inspections and provide feedback on quality to prevent defects
Maintain a clean and organized work area; return tools and equipment after use
Assist with tasks in other departments as needed to support workflow
Qualifications:
Proven experience in fitting/fabrication and MIG welding
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, and technical drawings
Skilled in using various hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
