Hollow Metal Fabricator

Handles hollow metal doors and frames weighing from 60 to 150 pounds Performs fabrication on these products including welding parts together Uses jigsaw or other power tools to cut holes in doors and frames Uses a 40 pound electric grinder to smooth welds Installs vision kits and glass in doors Uses electric drills Reads work orders and product templates to establish necessary fabrication Other relative duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience Forklift certification preferred Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Basic computer skills Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware Good communication skills Ability to accurately do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates Physical Demands
This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required. Work Environment
This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware. Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment. Qualification Requirements
