About The Role Voltage Energy Storage is seeking a skilled
Structural/Mechanical Engineer
to lead a team of engineers in delivering cutting‑edge
Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
projects. This role blends technical leadership with hands‑on engineering expertise, ensuring high‑quality, compliant, and cost‑effective structural solutions.
What You’ll Do
Project Execution
Oversee design of foundations, racking systems, enclosures, and infrastructure.
Approve design packages and structural calculations.
Support construction teams with inspections and troubleshooting.
Compliance & Standards
Ensure adherence to codes (IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE 7, local).
Maintain and enforce internal design standards.
Coordinate with permitting authorities.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work with electrical, mechanical, and civil teams.
Collaborate with contractors and suppliers.
Provide input on procurement and vendor selection.
Continuous Improvement
Standardize processes to boost efficiency.
Apply lessons learned to future projects.
Stay current on industry innovations and tools.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Structural or Civil Engineering.
Licensed PE (Professional Engineer), multi‑state registration preferred.
4–6+ years in structural engineering (renewables, substations, or industrial).
Proven leadership in managing engineering teams.
Expertise in steel, concrete, and foundation design.
Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, AutoCAD, Revit.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with BESS, solar PV, or utility‑scale renewables.
Knowledge of modular and containerized construction.
Familiarity with geotechnical investigations.
Multi‑region project delivery experience.
