Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies, processes, and information systems to optimize customer, transportation, and production requirements in global markets.
Manage transportation service agreements, freight rates, terms, and documentation for domestic commerce (truck, rail, warehouses, ports, 3PLs).
Negotiate and construct contracts, collaborate with Legal on compliance issues, and communicate financial impacts of commercial decisions.
Provide input into business strategy development, annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and budget analysis.
Drive supplier performance through key metrics, coordinate with internal stakeholders on service quality, and lead business alliance reviews for process improvement.
Develop processes for cost-effective, on-time, damage-free delivery of Rayonier Advanced Materials products; rationalize supplier base and develop strategic commodity purchasing plans.
Recommend long‑range logistics strategies, identify joint cost‑reduction initiatives, and analyze evolving logistics trends to seize opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA or master’s degree in Transportation Management preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in North American transportation and domestic logistics.
Knowledge of domestic and international logistics, Incoterms, transportation regulations, sales and marketing procedures, finance and accounting principles, and order flow management is essential.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with a results‑driven mindset.
