The Above Ground Pool Product Manager develops and executes strategic plans for product categories, manages vendor relationships, and drives innovation to achieve growth and profitability. Responsibilities include overseeing the product development lifecycle, market analysis, pricing strategies, promotional plans, training programs, and new product launches. This role requires cross-functional collaboration to align with business objectives and acts as the primary resource for product expertise and industry insights. Responsibilities
Develops and leads the strategic plan for the category; manages vendor and product portfolio; conducts market intel and share analysis. Creates and manages sample and display programs. Acts as the go-to resource for product and programs; provides field and product guidance; manages conflict resolution; serves as the voice of the customer and liaison to internal teams and the industry. Leads new product introductions, obsolescence management, and collaborates with marketing and other departments to ensure vision, strategy, and timelines. Ensures alignment of vendor and internal initiatives; identifies gaps and creates solutions; develops sales tools, data management, forecasting, and KPI management. Creates training content for internal and customer use; supports factory trainings, dealer conferences, and trade shows. Analyzes consumer needs and market trends to identify opportunities and prioritize per business strategy. Creates product strategy documents describing business cases, market requirements, pricing, positioning, and marketing strategy. Assesses competitor offerings and opportunities for differentiation. Builds buy-in for the product vision internally and externally; acts as a product evangelist. Drives product launches by partnering with Vendors, Sales, Marketing, Sourcing, Pricing, and other teams to meet growth objectives. Develops strong vendor relationships to execute promotional plans and launches. Serves as subject matter expert, providing training and market intelligence to grow revenue, profitability, and market share. Provides pricing targets and profit component guidance to maximize profitability while growing share. Contributes to annual strategy discussions to improve sales execution and category performance. Provides leadership and guidance to help the organization achieve sales objectives. Other duties as assigned. Requirements
Experience in the pool industry is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business. 5 years of experience in product development and management. Experience with successful product launches preferred. Significant experience in a dynamic product management role in consumer or industrial products. Experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle including innovation assessment, competitive analysis, ROI, pricing, product launch, and promotional plans. Strong cross-functional team management. Experience delivering product marketing strategies. Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and public speaking skills. Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record (no more than 2 violations in 3 years). 21 years of age or older to apply.
