Principal Consultant | Head of MEP Recruitment in Texas and Tennessee Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer with an EIT certification to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the design and development of HVAC and plumbing systems for a variety of building projects, collaborating closely with senior engineers, architects, and project managers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and layout of HVAC and plumbing systems using AutoCAD and Revit. Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and duct/piping sizing. Prepare construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates. Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design integration. Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed. Support project delivery from concept through construction administration. Stay current with industry codes, standards, and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification is
preferred . 3-6 years of experience in HVAC and/or plumbing design preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with ASHRAE, IPC, IMC, and other relevant codes. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with energy modeling software (e.g., Trace 700, HAP). LEED accreditation or interest in sustainable design. Knowledge of BIM workflows and clash detection tools
