Digital Print Electrical Service Technician
to join our growing team in
Indianapolis, IN . Summary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Digital Print Electrical Service Technician to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the successful installation, service, troubleshooting, support, and operation of digital printers integrated with corrugating machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while representing our company at customer sites. This position requires travel up to 75% of the time. Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and repair digital printers at customer sites Provide after-hours on-call emergency support to the customer base Perform preventative maintenance service and warranty interventions Communicate on site and by telephone with customer personnel to determine issues Make travel arrangements to customer facilities Generate service reports describing the outcome of customer visits, including unresolved issues Generate accurate and prompt timesheets for billing and payroll Complete expense reports to facilitate customer billing Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications
Technical/Trade school or AA degree preferred Willingness to travel 75% of the time on average (travel will vary) Strong electrical aptitude with ability to read electrical schematics Experience with PLC controls and programming Programming skills in Beckhoff C/C++, MATLAB and Simulink, Siemens S7, TIA Portal (SCL), drive and control technology Understanding of drives, servos and process control Team player with ability to work well with customers, subcontractors and coworkers Basic computer skills Ability to assist with installations Ability to perform electrical calibrations and preventative maintenance Perform electrical PEMs (service audits) Ability to independently perform successful interventions Ability to learn proprietary software Ability to set and adjust speed references for all equipment Ability to create, read, and analyze files Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, bend/twist, safely lift and maneuver objects weighing at least 30 pounds, navigate equipment, and work in varying temperatures at customer locations Experience working with corrugating machinery in a maintenance capacity is a plus Uses diagnostic tools and equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters) and follows engineering instructions, technical manuals, and customer specifications Starts up and shuts down units in compliance with company and OSHA safety procedures Knowledge of E-Plan and Bosch Rexroth IndraWorks DS is an advantage Prior experience as a field service engineer, maintenance engineer, or technician is desirable Physical Requirements
Stand and walk for extended periods Bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions Safely lift and maneuver objects weighing at least 30 pounds Navigate and walk over equipment safely Ascend and descend ladders and stairs as required Work in various environmental conditions, including hot and cold temperatures Work in confined spaces and at heights when necessary Maintain hand-eye coordination and dexterity to work with tools and electrical components Salary & Benefits
The salary range offered for this position is $39-$44 per hour.
