The Facilities Management department develops, manages, maintains, repairs, and remodels the headquarters infrastructure and facilities, manages energy usage, provides safety and physical security, and other services required to support its mission.
Responsibilities
Performs ongoing inspections and timely repairs to electrical, plumbing, lighting, and HVAC equipment, including outside contractor coordination and supervision.
Utilizes HVAC economizers and keeps them in proper working condition. Stages equipment usage to maintain low peak demand costs.
Maintains current inspection and permit requirements.
Supervises work assignments and provides training for the Facilities Technician.
Assists with implementing company safety and facility safety programs.
Completes assigned special projects related to the Kansas City office, including office moves, concrete replacement, major equipment replacement, etc.
Provides backup to other department functions as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
5 years of facilities maintenance experience
3 years of experience in printing
Experience with general repairs for office building equipment and fixtures
Experience operating heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment
Experience in refrigeration, electrical and mechanical repairs
Experience with emergency generator and transfer switch testing
Experience with kitchen equipment repairs
Troubleshooting experience with low and high voltage circuits
Preferred Qualifications
Technical training or Associate’s degree
CFC Universal certification
Trade school courses in electricity, air conditioning and refrigeration
