Job Title: A&P Mechanic III
Location: Englewood, CO
Duration: 1 year, Temp to Hire
Max Pay Rate: $40/hr
Job Summary The A&P Mechanic III is responsible for performing advanced maintenance, repairs, and inspections on aircraft systems and components. This role requires expertise in diagnosing mechanical issues, replacing defective parts, and ensuring compliance with aviation standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inspections, repairs, and replacements of aircraft components.
Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot mechanical and functional issues.
Use specialized tools and equipment to assess and maintain aircraft systems.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations and safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of the hangar or workshop.
Demonstrate expertise in airframe, powerplant, or combined A&P systems.
Physical & Sensory Requirements
Frequent walking, sitting, standing, and stair climbing.
Repetitive hand, arm, and finger motions.
Visual acuity for close and distance vision, depth perception, and color differentiation.
Hearing ability to discern tones and volumes.
Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
Working Conditions
Exposure to outdoor elements (heat, cold, rain, snow).
Exposure to fumes, hazardous chemicals, and loud noises.
Safety-Sensitive Role
Responsible for the safety and security of personnel and property.
Handles hazardous materials and inspects aircraft and equipment.
Operates or supervises heavy machinery and aviation-related equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Active FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior violations.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Own tools in good working condition.
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Ability to pass and maintain Class 3 Physical, including hearing and vision tests.
Strong understanding of technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills for aircraft airframes and engines.
Preferred Skills
Experience in FAA repair stations or Quality Assurance.
Willingness to travel and work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.
Familiarity with FAR/DFARS regulations.
Background in Aerospace & Defense, DoD, or Military.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
