Position Responsibilities

Design, development, and detailing of mechanical components and systems, such as suspensions, braking, ergonomics, and some structural design Design systems to minimize weight Develop platforms for systems of responsibility for maximizing commonality across Orange EV Define component specifications and create relevant documentation Create and maintain project timelines Create and maintain cost estimates for new designs Lead DFMEA’s for systems of responsibility and ensure completion of DFMEA action items Review of operator and service manual sections of responsible systems Educate less experienced Orange EV engineers in proper design and calculation techniques Create gate/milestone review documentation as required Conduct design reviews Oversee assembly of prototype build of new designs Develop test procedures/requirements for new designs Perform project engineer/program manager work as needed Willingness to learn new subjects and develop new areas of expertise Enthusiastic about joining and helping build a young company; willing to “do what it takes” to support our customers

Position Qualifications

3-6 years of experience in the design of mobile equipment Education/Experience: BSME from an accredited university Strong technical and professional knowledge Strong communication and presentation skills Experience in effective problem-solving techniques Knowledge of SAE and ISO safety standards Extensive CAD experience, preferably with Autodesk Inventor DFMEA experience

Ideal Candidates Will Also Have

Experience working in the manufacturing and/or distribution industries is preferred. Knowledge and/or experience in the vehicle industry a plus.

Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation: Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards Work in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
