Trainer Production 4

to join our ASTAR organization. This position is located in Iuka, MS. As a member of the team, you will provide technical support to ASTAR on a variety of technical tasks. Support includes performing on-the-job training, skills training, and some classroom training in assembly and production areas. You will participate in the development and implementation of new training programs and may introduce new processes and sequences for manufacturing areas. You will also maintain rosters of training progress, examination records, and certification records, and may monitor trainees. Basic Qualifications: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional manufacturing experience and/or related education experience. At least 3 years direct experience working with Composites, Bagging, Layup, Repairs, Scarf Repair, PI Installation, or Curing.

Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Self-starter who is able to work with minimal direction.

Ability to work any shift and schedule including 4/10’s 1st shift (7am-5:30pm) or including overtime as necessary to meet business needs.

This position requires having a current active DoD Secret Clearance.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain Program Special Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

This position requires the ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 35 pounds, and working overhead.

Must be able to access small confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment.

Ability to train technicians in complex composite structures certification.

Provide lecture and hands-on instruction on complex bagging, wet lay-up, scarf repair, and various composite maintenance repairs.

Ability to develop, present, teach, and mentor technicians on modern complex composite processes.

Ability to demonstrate skills equivalent to entry-level blueprint and technical data comprehension and shop math. Knowledgeable in the use of process specifications.

Preferred Qualifications: Team leadership experience.

Current Program Special Access.

Structures and airframe fabrication, assembly, composite, and LO coatings experience.

Ability to demonstrate independent creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience with operating various types of manufacturing tools and/or composition curing equipment.

Must be able to individually manage multiple tasks concurrently and provide technical support to business functions on a variety of different projects.

Experience with reading and interpreting technical documents, drawings, and process procedures.

Ability to interface with various support organizations and levels of management.

Salary Range:

$52,900 - $88,100 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
