Position Summary
Relocation required to Bentonville, AR. At Walmart, we help people save money so they can live better. In this role you will assess business financial performance, forecast, and influence category strategy and financial plans. You’ll be the expert for your category and leverage Walmart’s scale to impact the business and the lives of millions of customers worldwide.
Responsibilities
Category/Item Forecasting:
Performs all financial forecasting within categories using data‑driven analytics, trend insights, and business intelligence to project future results. Partners with cross‑functional team on inputs to forecast and shares output with team to drive alignment.
Feature and Promotion Management:
Influences feature and promotional plans using historical performance data and business insight. Supports decision on feature buy quantities and store level allocation.
Modular Strategy and Financials:
Assesses item‑level performance during line review process and communicates the aggregate financial impact of planned assortment changes. Creates executive summary on expected results and presents to leadership.
Business Management Decision Support:
Assesses health of the business and seeks root‑cause of opportunities. Generates data‑driven recommendations, socializes findings, and steers decisions that impact P&L.
Budgeting:
Develops category and subcategory financial targets, notates and conveys business intelligence, builds budget info into the financial system.
Financial Updates and Reporting:
Owns monthly financial perspective for categories, highlighting business drivers, opportunities, key action plans, and timelines.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field and 2 years of experience in retail, merchandising, forecasting, or related area.
OR 4 years of experience in retail, merchandising, forecasting, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications
Negotiating terms and costing experience.
Retail Link, supervisory experience, master’s in marketing preferred.
