Responsibilities
Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, including shipping logistics of assets purchased by the company.
Assistance in implementation of and continued administration of warehouse inventory software.
Managing shipping (including tariffs for international purchases) for assets purchased by the company.
Assisting with purchasing, as required by the company from time to time.
Implementing operational policies and procedures.
Implementing and overseeing security operations.
Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
Sourcing and hiring staff.
Ensuring the safety of staff.
Motivating and disciplining staff.
Creating and maintaining the warehouse operations budget.
Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
Maintaining awareness and knowledge of the condition and location of fleet vehicles.
Assisting with deliveries where required.
Experience
High school diploma or GED.
3+ years of warehouse management experience.
Experience with shipping logistics and tariffs for international purchases.
Excellent understanding of warehouse, shipping, and logistics management processes and procedures.
Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to operate a forklift effectively, together with any appropriate licenses that are required.
Proficient computer skills are needed.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong people skills are needed.
Available to work extended hours from time to time.
