Job Summary The Archdiocese of St. Louis seeks a motivated and mission-driven Talent Sourcing Specialist to support the recruitment and retention of exceptional individuals who serve the Catholic Church’s ministries, parishes, and schools. This position plays a key role in identifying, engaging, and cultivating relationships with both active and passive candidates through creative sourcing strategies, networking, and outreach. The ideal candidate combines strong recruiting expertise with a deep commitment to advancing the mission and values of the Catholic Church.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to attract qualified candidates for a wide variety of positions across the Archdiocese.
Utilize Boolean search techniques, social media platforms, and professional networking tools (including LinkedIn Recruiter) to identify and engage top talent.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of candidates through proactive outreach, relationship management, and community engagement.
Partner with Talent Acquisition Specialists and hiring managers to understand ministry, parish, and school staffing needs and ensure alignment with the Archdiocesan mission.
Represent the Archdiocese at job fairs, community events, and faith-based recruitment activities, promoting Catholic education and ministry opportunities.
Create and share compelling job postings and social media content to highlight the Archdiocese’s mission, culture, and career opportunities.
Maintain accurate candidate data, sourcing metrics, and progress updates within the applicant tracking system.
Stay informed on labor market trends, recruitment best practices, and employer branding strategies.
Ensure all recruiting and sourcing efforts reflect Catholic values and uphold the mission of the Archdiocese.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in talent sourcing, recruiting, or a related human resources function.
Demonstrated proficiency with Boolean search techniques and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, and other digital recruiting platforms.
Working knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors or a comparable Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Strong understanding of both active and passive recruiting strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
