Security Master/Investment Operations Analyst
Location:
New York, NY (hybrid)
Pay:
$95–105/hour
Duration: Contract opportunity for 3 months with strong potential for extension/long-term possibilities
Position Overview A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking a Security Master / Reference Data professional to join its Investment Operations team on a contract basis. This role supports the operational and data management needs of various funds, separately managed accounts, and portfolio companies. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, has experience with security reference data, and understands the workflow between multiple internal platforms used in investment operations.
This is a hands‑on role that will involve maintaining and reconciling security master data, assisting with system integrations, and supporting operational processes across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update the firm’s Security Master / Reference Data across multiple internal platforms.
Assist with new security setups and ongoing maintenance for various asset types.
Ensure data accuracy and completeness, performing periodic reconciliations and supporting reporting needs.
Collaborate with compliance, operations, and front‑office teams to support day‑to‑day trading and investment operations.
Participate in system testing and integration projects as new tools or processes are implemented.
Support ad hoc data and operational requests from internal stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of relevant experience in investment operations, reference data, or middle office functions.
Strong understanding of security master data and reference data management.
Comfortable working with multiple internal systems and understanding data synchronization between them.
Experience with platforms such as Bloomberg, EDM, VPM, Everest, or similar is a plus.
Knowledge of fixed income, bonds, structured products, and derivatives is beneficial.
Detail‑oriented, able to work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
