Tessera is seeking a passionate and detail-driven Safety and Quality Control Inspector to support USAFA BMC operations. This role oversees safety, environmental management, ISO 9001 compliance, and quality assurance programs. The inspector will operate independently and collaborate with local and home-office teams to uphold Tessera’s standards of excellence and continuous improvement. Typical duties

Develop, implement, and monitor safety, quality, and environmental programs aligned with ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements. Coach and support personnel in local compliance, fostering best practices and accountability. Coordinate and deliver training programs such as defensive driving, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and fire protection. Conduct inspections, audits, and fire drills to ensure compliance and readiness. Investigate incidents and nonconformance issues; prepare technical reports and corrective action plans. Draft and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and local operating procedures for EH&S functions. Collaborate with environmental offices and internal teams to manage SDS documentation and work orders. Utilize systems such as Maximo, DoD e-Tools, and ESMIS to monitor data accuracy and identify trends. Review maintenance records and inspection files to detect recurring issues and propose improvements. Provide independent assessments and recommendations to optimize site safety, quality, and environmental processes. Qualifications

Experience in safety, quality control, and environmental compliance (preferably in military or government contracts). Strong knowledge of OSHA, USACE, and ISO 9001 standards. Proficiency with data systems such as Maximo and DoD platforms. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams. Physical requirements

Employees must be able to perform the physical demands described below for extended periods, with reasonable accommodations available where applicable. Repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, standing or sitting for long periods; climbing in/out of vehicles and stairs may be required. Ability to work effectively under pressure for extended periods. Requirements

A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain Tessera’s insurance coverage. REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or acceptable alternative (passport or military ID) for access to federal installations. Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. Background check and E-Verify will be conducted. Union affiliation
