Air Export and Domestic Ops Manager

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and facilitate all ocean freight export operational processes including, but not limited to, carrier freight/drayage bookings, documentation, AES, preparation of warehouse picking lists and tracking of global shipments. Input accurate data and shipment details into the company's CRM platform. Consult with clients by providing exceptional customer service pertaining to all logistics needs and freight movements. Take initiative to strategically address/resolve all shipment/carrier delays, customs holds, documentation errors, revisions to carrier ETD/ETA schedules and other unexpected issues that occur. Demonstrate the ability to make executive operational decisions timely on a day-to-day basis. Communicate with customers, carriers and truckers on shipment status and/or delays both verbally and via email when needed during in and non-office hours. Establish and maintain relationships with all domestic carriers/vendors/foreign agents. Coordinate movement of freight for clients with internal departments & overseas agents when necessary to resolve issues expeditiously. Work to upsell current clients on additional value of Horizon's product and service offerings when the opportunity arises. Experience with vendor invoice review, auditing and billing reconciliation. Diligently adhere to all internal operational procedures & policies, while taking initiative to present process improvement initiatives to existing workflows. Other tasks as assigned. The Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 4+ years logistics experience. Must have knowledge of ocean export/import procedures including documentation and regulations. Experience with cruise logistics, specifically perishable shipments. Demonstrates the ability to clearly articulate via both email and phone to multiple audiences. Pays attention to detail, is proactive in preventing errors and avoiding penalties. Possesses time management skills to work under pressure with tight deadlines; able to pivot when circumstances change, recover from setbacks and rise to new challenges. Has good interpersonal skills and has a team mindset. Computer literate with experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Education
High School Graduate, college degree a plus. Industry certifications a plus (Hazmat certified). Seniority level
