The Opportunity

We’re looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, and tenacious Business Development Representative (BDR) to help fuel our next stage of growth. This is not an entry‑level telemarketing role; this is an opportunity for a go‑getter with a proven record of creating and developing client opportunities in cybersecurity professional services. You’ll be on the front lines identifying prospects, engaging decision‑makers, and helping SMBs understand how Blue INK can protect and empower their business. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to qualify leads, progress pipeline, and help close deals.

Key Responsibilities

Proven expertise in Inside Sales, Lead Generation, and Business Development

Own the top‑of‑funnel: identify, research, and engage SMB prospects that match our Ideal Client Profile (20–500 employees).

Execute high‑volume, high‑quality outreach, i.e. 20–50 calls and 20–50 personalized emails per day, to schedule meetings and drive qualified opportunities.

Conduct discovery conversations with business leaders to uncover pain points, qualify needs, and position the value of Blue INK’s cybersecurity services.

Partner with the leadership team to scope solutions (CISO, risk assessments, compliance, security controls, workshops).

Manage your pipeline and activity metrics in the CRM with discipline and accuracy.

Collaborate with marketing to refine campaigns, messaging, and lead‑qualification criteria.

Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets for meetings, pipeline, and revenue contribution.

Maintain a deep understanding of our services and the cybersecurity challenges facing SMBs.

Qualifications

Proven expertise in Inside Sales, Lead Generation, and Business Development

5+ years of successful B2B sales or business development experience. Must have cybersecurity or IT services industry experience.

Verifiable track record of hitting or exceeding sales quotas, generating qualified pipeline, and closing new business.

Demonstrated ability to sell professional services to business or technical decision‑makers.

Strong business acumen, ability to connect cybersecurity to real‑world business risk and ROI.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Must be articulate, confident, and executive‑ready.

Highly organized, self‑motivated, and relentless in pursuit of personal and team goals.

Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and structured sales processes (SPIN, MEDDIC, Sandler).

Cybersecurity knowledge a must with ability to learn and speak confidently about threat prevention, compliance, and risk management.

Competitive base salary + Uncapped commissions.
