Description As a Category Analyst, you will be at the forefront of transforming data into actionable category insights that drive key performance indicators. You will collaborate with the Naturipe Farms sales and marketing teams to deliver strategic solutions by leveraging Scintilla, planning tools, and other data platforms. Ultimately, you’ll be the expert we look to for turning Scintilla data into meaningful insights that empower our team to execute successful retail strategies and elevate performance across the board.

What you will accomplish

Using your prior experience, you'll leverage Scintilla and other syndicated data resources (Circana) to provide category recommendations and analyses for our Naturipe Farms team

Translate category management priorities to actionable initiatives for Naturipe Farms

Work collaboratively to develop innovative and insightful content to drive category growth

Provide category insights support, reporting and develop scorecards for Naturipe Farms Team

Monitor and analyze category, competition, and consumer market data to proactively identify business opportunities and develop actionable category insights.

Support and align with the marketing team, Naturipe Farms Sales, and Finance in terms of producing monthly, quarterly, and retail execution ROI

This should describe you

2-3 years relevant experience preferred; Produce or CPG Foods experience is a plus

Prior category management or insights role preferred

Syndicated data required; Scintilla experience preferred (e.g., Kroger 84.51 / on Demand or Circana)

Solid MS Office skills, especially Excel & PowerPoint

Able to turn data into a story that guides us to selling narratives

Interpersonal skills to build solid relationships internally and externally and influence customers

Strategic and proactive thinking to develop category strategies and translate them into KPIs and objectives

Management presentation competencies to effectively present key category insights to senior leadership

Proactive, initiative‑taking orientation

Desire to build a successful career with a growing company

Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills

15%-20% travel required for customer, internal team meetings, and industry events

You are happy in a hybrid role (3 days a week in office – Salinas location only) and could also be remote if you’re from Grand Junction, MI or Bentonville, AK

Here’s Who You’ll Work With This role reports to an amazing Head of Category Management and rolls up to the VP of Marketing, but you will also work closely with the other super talented members of the marketing team and the Walmart sales team. Your contributions will help shape data integration, dashboard management, and the development of impactful category analytics and support the sales growth goal of the Walmart account.
