Senior Process Engineer – Samples Operations
Position Overview Shaw Industries is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to work with each functional area within Samples Operations (includes inside manufacturing, MTO, and finished goods distribution) to identify, develop, and implement solutions that improve workflows to increase efficiency and improve speed, maintain high quality standards, and generate savings that support plant, division, and corporate objectives.

Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance to the departmental managers, team managers, associates, and internal customers
Identify opportunities and create solutions to improve workflow and efficiencies
Manage capital projects for Samples Operations
Provide oversight and recommendations for optimizing product flows through the supply chain
Help establish, monitor and report capacity and utilization levels through each area of Samples
Lead Department Managers through project planning and implementation
Troubleshoot systems as needed and make recommendations for improvements
Special project analysis and recommendations
Assist Plant Engineer and IE Manager in submitting capital and expense projects relating to each department and general plant needs
Determine savings for plant capital and projects
Manage plant Co-op's
Qualifications
Four year degree required, preferably in Engineering or a related discipline.
Communicates, both verbally and in writing, with people at various levels of the company in a clear and concise manner.
Possesses ability to analyze complex data representing multiple product types and processes and make recommendations and decisions based on results.
Demonstrates understanding of performance metrics and tools.
Works in a team environment to maximize company resources.
Demonstrates good organizational and time-management skills.
Sets challenging goals and works diligently to achieve them.
Possesses computer and software knowledge such as spreadsheets, database management, word processing, etc…
Demonstrates ability to manage competing demands.
Exhibits implied authority in effort to achieve results throughout the organization.
Takes initiative, keeps promises, honors commitments, and takes responsibility for own actions.
Promotes change as necessary in a continually improving organization; is enthusiastic and optimistic in the face of change.
