Job Title: Commercial Operations Specialist We are seeking a specialist for the Customer Operations team within our battery recycling and battery materials business. The role focuses on providing support to suppliers and ensuring smooth program operations.
Responsibilities
Act as key point of contact for day-to-day customer requests regarding supplier onboarding, logistics, purchase orders, reporting, and compliance.
Keep meticulous records of all documents and interactions using our CRM, ERP, file-sharing system, and home-grown portals, and suggest configuration and process improvements.
Develop and refine processes that ensure smooth program operations and excellent service levels for shippers and corporate partners.
Create and maintain supplier purchase orders and ensure on-time payments in collaboration with Accounts Payable.
Work cross-functionally to develop analytics and software to support and report on recycling programs.
Adhere to all policies and procedures while focusing on safety and best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Associate degree.
2–4 years’ experience, ideally in sales operations, business planning, or logistics.
Industry experience in commodity, metals (mining or recycled), or battery materials is helpful.
Smart, scrappy, entrepreneurial attitude with a bias for action and grit.
Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-changing environment; independent, motivated, self-starter.
Strong analytical skills.
Passion for sustainability and making the world a better place.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other regulations.
Regular, punctual attendance.
Ability to wear PPE, including gloves, helmets, and eyewear.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Clear verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions
Office setting, manufacturing floor, outdoor job site, or remote work.
Required to work weekends, evenings, on-call shifts, or extended hours as needed.
10% of the time intermittent travel for meetings, site visits, or events.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
