We’re representing a well-respected mechanical construction firm in the Cincinnati area seeking a Mechanical Construction Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day field and project operations across multiple large-scale commercial projects. This leadership role focuses on operational excellence, team development, and client satisfaction.
About the Role The Operations Manager will lead a team of project managers, engineers, and field supervisors to ensure successful project execution from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will be responsible for managing performance, profitability, safety, and quality across all mechanical construction projects while helping shape long-term business strategy.
Responsibilities
Oversee and support all ongoing mechanical construction projects (HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems).
Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to project teams.
Develop and implement operational best practices and process improvements.
Monitor budgets, schedules, and manpower to ensure projects meet company and client goals.
Partner with executive leadership on business planning, staffing, and growth initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Champion safety culture and quality standards across all projects.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in
mechanical construction , including
project management and/or operations leadership .
Proven track record managing
commercial and industrial projects
(healthcare, higher education, life sciences, data centers, or similar).
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, design-build delivery, and MEP coordination.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
