About this role: The Business Development Officer will secure new commercial clients for the Bank by creating and maintaining a strong banking relationship. In this role you will: Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement— maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”. Generate and develop new business relationships through networking, building relationships with referral sources, and prospecting. Determine which financial products/structure best meet the client’s needs and financial circumstances. Support the Bank’s strong relationship banking culture through on-going client contact, quality client service and superior product knowledge. Maintain close client contact though entire transaction process, from application to closing, routine contact with client to ensure CNOB is exceeding their expectations. Assist underwriting team by submitting a complete application package; monitoring the progress of the application, working to resolve any issues that may emerge with borrowing requests. Ensure all accounts and transactions are in compliance with operational, security and control procedures of the Bank, preventing fraud and protecting customer assets. Conduct sales presentations with prospective and existing clients as well as community groups. Must haves: Strong “People First” interest and ability. Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations. Excellent knowledge of Bank’s products and services. Familiarity with Bank security and safety practices. Minimum five years of business sales experience. Thorough understanding of federal banking compliance and requirements. Excellent PC skills. Exceptional networking and relationship building skills. Ability to communicate effectively. Experience in Palm Beach County in business development.
