Procurement Specialist - IT

Location: North Carolina 28209 Work Schedule: 40 hrs/wk Contract Length: 3 months (with potential extension) Rate: $70/hr plus benefits Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to support our IT department. This role is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships for hardware, software, cloud services, and IT-related contracts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation. Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with IT leadership to understand technology needs and procurement requirements. Source and evaluate vendors for IT products and services, including hardware, software, SaaS, and consulting. Negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure cost-effective and high-quality solutions. Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including RFPs, RFQs, and purchase orders. Maintain accurate records of contracts, renewals, and vendor performance. Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements. Monitor IT procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities. Coordinate with legal, finance, and compliance teams for contract reviews and approvals. Stay current on IT market trends, emerging technologies, and vendor innovations. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in procurement, with a focus on IT or technology sourcing. Strong knowledge of IT categories including software licensing, cloud services, and hardware. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Experience with procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Oracle) is a plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
