Production Seasonal Supervisor - Extraction *3rd Shift

The Seasonal Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily production activities in a high-paced manufacturing environment during peak season. This role provides direct leadership to production teams, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and team engagement targets are consistently met. The supervisor works cross-functionally with quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to meet operational goals while fostering a positive and safe work culture. Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily production operations to achieve shift targets for safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Directly oversee, coach, and support production employees, providing feedback, training, and performance guidance. Drive efficiency by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process improvements. Communicate clearly during shift handoffs, meetings, and daily production updates. Partner with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime. Support seasonal staffing needs including onboarding, training, and team integration. Perform other duties over different shifts as required. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, particularly during night shift operations. Manage inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain to maintain optimal production flow. Adapt production schedules and staffing to meet seasonal demand fluctuations. Implement and maintain quality control measures specific to extraction processes. Collaborate with other shift supervisors to ensure consistent operations across all shifts. Conduct regular equipment inspections and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules. Develop and implement strategies to improve employee retention during peak seasons. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects. Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and extended shifts during peak season. Proven experience in extraction processes and related equipment operation. Knowledge of FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in food or pharmaceutical production. Proficiency in using production management software and data analysis tools. Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain safety protocols in a production environment. Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. 2+ years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing setting. Certification in HACCP, or other relevant quality management systems is a plus. Compensation
Compensation Range: $70,000 - $80,000 Additional Information
