Seasonal Freight Coordinator (Part-Time)

The Buckle, Inc. is hiring a Seasonal Freight Coordinator (Part-Time). This position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement, “to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” The Freight Coordinator performs a variety of operational tasks assigned by store management (e.g., receiving and unpacking of daily shipments, shipping merchandise, backroom maintenance, and routine cleaning of facilities). Overview

This role supports store operations with freight handling, merchandising, and guest service while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in receiving, shipping, and processing shipments. Responsibilities

Sales Generation and Guest Service: Compare and verify merchandise invoices to items received to ensure shipments are correct; send alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx; check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips; ensure transfers are processed through the register and that items match what is being shipped out; package items appropriately when shipping to Guests and other stores. Visual Merchandise Management: Remove pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in; place Sensormatic tags on garments in designated places; hang and fold merchandise for the sales floor and steam when necessary; assist on floor projects as needed. Operations: Maintain a flexible schedule (including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods as needed); develop knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) software; receive freight boxes and store transfers through the register; manage shipment-related paperwork; monitor for security risks and respond appropriately; create FedEx labels and sort packages by transit time; process recalls and RTVs weekly; keep supplies stocked and organized; organize fixtures and shelving; maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area; maintain daily work files; communicate policy violations to management and HR; provide feedback on merchandise handling; adhere to Buckle’s Code of Ethics and policies; fulfill the mission with strong customer service and teamwork; perform special projects and other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: No prior experience or training required. Additional Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older. Physical Demands
