Deputy Project Leader
(Telecommunications) to support a company focused on security systems within the DOD. This position is onsite in
Northern Virginia . This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting a national leader in secure, resilient power and technology systems. The
Deputy Project Leader
will assist in leading the design, deployment, and management of complex telecommunications infrastructure projects. Join a mission-driven team advancing secure communications for critical defense operations.
Responsibilities for the Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) include:
Support design and deployment of integrated infrastructure and telecommunications systems (Fiber Optic, Structured Cabling, CCTV, DAS).
Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination to ensure timely completion.
Contribute to project documentation, layout planning, and compliance with contract requirements.
Participate in project kick-off meetings, monthly reviews, and resource forecasting.
Help drive financial management and profitability while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Required Qualifications for the Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) include:
5+ years of experience in construction specific to Telecommunications & Security Systems.
Proficiency in low-voltage systems, CPM scheduling, and software tools (Bluebeam, AutoCAD, MS Project).
Strong leadership experience supporting projects valued between $500K–$10M+.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, IT, Construction Management, or related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Required Qualifications for the Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) include:
Salary Range: $120,000–$180,000 depending on experience
