Responsibilities

Client & Service Expert:

Develop clientele through coaching the team on proactive client outreach and building and maintaining relationships with new clients.

Partner with the Store Leader to develop business‑driving initiatives that build repeat business or attract a new customer to the store.

Ensure each associate actively utilizes their client book to generate increased sales through monthly client book reviews and evaluation of outreach.

Maintain compliance with all client standards and thank‑you note program.

Complete the sales training program for all associates.

Model and supervise the selling environment, providing consistent coaching on the sales training process to ensure the highest level of customer service and sales.

Leadership Presence / Steward of Talent:

Assist the Store Leader with achieving financial success through measurable results that positively impact store performance.

Assume the Store Leader role in the manager’s absence.

Lead by example by achieving personal sales goals.

Educate the team on sales plans, personal goals, measurable stats, and coach to these stats to maximize business.

Network in the community to ensure open positions are filled efficiently with minimal impact to the business.

Conduct ongoing review and assessment of employee performance.

Building Brand Equity:

Communicate the Kate Spade New York brand aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to the sales team and customers.

Ensure brand and operating standards are met to support brand consistency.

Implement visual merchandising directives and maintain store presentation standards.

Communicate merchandise sell‑through, stock position, business trends, product issues, and customer feedback to the Store Leader to increase customer service and sales.

Operational Excellence:

Supervise store opening and closing procedures, including register cash handling, bank deposits, and facility security.

Assist the Store Leader with payroll budget management, scheduling, and adjustments as needed.

Monitor, maintain, and enforce company policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention.

Accurately process all POS transactions to maintain inventory integrity.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of management experience in a comparable retail environment.

College degree preferred.

Prior luxury goods experience preferred.

Professional sales development and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Strong leadership qualities and effective communication at all organizational levels.

Analytical ability to interpret selling reports, identify business trends, and respond quickly to business needs.

Conflict mediation skills within a team environment.

Proficiency in Windows‑based software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements

Available to work store schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Standing for extended periods of time.

Safe lifting of boxes up to 40 pounds.

Comfortable climbing ladders.
