WHKS has a great opportunity available for a graduate or experienced engineer with transportation design experience in the Minnesota market. Responsibilities
Roadway layout and design of streets and highways for state, county and municipal roadways.
Analysis and design of rural and urban roadway drainage systems.
Perform other design-related tasks, such as quantity and geometric calculations, grading plans, and utility layouts.
Develop 2-D and 3-D models using MicroStation and OpenRoads software.
Provide oversight of CADD technicians to verify work is done properly and accurately.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
E.I. certification or ability to take the F.E. exam within 6 months
0 – 4 years of experience in transportation design
Valid driver’s license
Excellent computer and communication skills
Experience with Microstation, Geopak or OpenRoads
Knowledge of Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) specifications and procedures is a plus
