Posted Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 6:00 AM | Expires Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 5:59 AM Job Summary Under the direction of the Quality Lab Supervisor, with guidance from the Quality Lab Tech Lead, the QA Inspector is responsible for completing testing and inspection, dimensional analysis, and supporting other departments within HellermannTyton. This position requires the technician to perform product/process inspections in both a production and lab environment, manage files and software, and maintain certifications such as TS16949, ISO14001, and EMS by adhering to corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and documentation. Overtime, including some weekend hours, will be required. Essential Functions: Understand customer expectations related to product quality Support a team atmosphere and mentor operators on quality standards Perform first piece and in-process inspections of manufactured products Conduct specific tests such as tensile and moisture analysis on manufactured and incoming products Verify material certifications and approve raw materials Enter and edit SPC data in the computer system File QA records and samples, both current and obsolete Verify colorant in receiving using incoming color samples Handle non-conforming materials with proper documentation and isolation Perform dimensional layouts referencing HellermannTyton drawings Utilize SPC software and control plans Record all inspection and test data accurately Weigh parts and assist with PPAP and PPC testing Support maintaining quality and environmental certifications by following policies and procedures Serve as a go-to person for production regarding product quality Determine 'Clean Point' when non-conformance is identified Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required 1 year of prior lab experience preferred Strong math and communication skills Good vision Knowledge of micrometers and calipers preferred Blueprint reading skills preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment Willingness to wear PPE as required Flexibility to work daily and weekend overtime as needed Note: Employment is contingent upon passing a background check, which may include SSN/SIN validation, education and employment verification, criminal check, driving history, and drug testing.
