Position Summary
This role is based full-time in Bentonville, Arkansas, and requires in-office presence. As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving seller acquisition and onboarding efforts across Walmart’s LATAM Marketplace. This role is pivotal in expanding our regional marketplace footprint, accelerating category growth, and cultivating strategic partnerships. What you'll do
Own and manage
a robust pipeline of marketplace sellers and brands Guide sellers
through onboarding, including education on Walmart’s Seller Center, item setup, shipping, and operational tools Drive sales and category expansion
by identifying in-demand assortment and optimizing seller performance Build and maintain relationships
with key external partners, including trade associations, vendors, and service providers Collaborate with sellers
to define launch plans and initial sales strategies tailored to LATAM market particularly in Chile or Mexico Represent
Walmart Marketplace at industry events and promote platform capabilities Work closely with internal teams
(e.g., account managers, marketing, operations) to ensure seamless seller experience and platform improvements Success in this role
will be measured by the number of successful sellers launches, growth in sales, Walmart program adoption and category growth. Additional metrics include the efficiency of the seller onboarding cycle and the strength of partner engagement. What You'll Bring 3+ years
in business development, sales, or marketplace operations Proven success
managing sales pipelines and onboarding partners or sellers Experience with
cross-border seller recruitment Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in
eCommerce or retail marketplaces Familiarity with Walmart Fulfillment Services, Walmart Connect, SEM, or similar seller enablement tools Strong command of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and data analytics platforms like
Looker Spanish Fluency Core Skills Strategic Thinking : Aligns seller onboarding with broader marketplace goals and regional growth strategies Sales & Negotiation : Skilled in pitching, closing deals, and negotiating terms that drive GMV and seller success Relationship Management : Builds trust with sellers, partners, and internal stakeholders across geographies Project Management : Manages onboarding timelines, resources, and cross-functional coordination Communication : Clear and persuasive communicator across written, verbal, and presentation formats Data Fluency : Uses metrics and insights to optimize seller performance and category growth Adaptability : Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment Cultural Intelligence : Understands regional nuances and tailors' strategies to local market dynamics Walmart offers competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 2 years’ experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area.
