Job Summary The Distribution Shift Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Distribution Manager in the management of operations through the effective utilization of distribution team members and equipment. This position will supervise and direct team members in the Manager’s absence.
Duties and Responsibilities
Actively manage daily loading and receiving of product. Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) and other proscribed procedures are followed.
Assist Manager in controlling labor cost through effective planning, scheduling and on-the-job training. Monitor productivity standards by analyzing metrics surrounding key performance indicators. Recommend/implement ways to improve performance.
Monitor daily, weekly and monthly sanitation tasks to ensure the sanitation schedule is followed.
Supervise distribution team, hold regularly scheduled team meetings and assist with timely performance reviews to ensure efficiency and productivity of team.
Maintain accurate and complete departmental records.
Maintain an organized, efficient and sanitary warehouse and loading dock area to exceed PJFS quality standards.
Perform duties of Distribution Manager in his/her absence.
Ensure compliance with PJFS Safety, Sanitation and HACCP policies & procedures, federal, state and local regulations (OSHA, FDA, DOL) and all Papa John’s International, Inc., policies & procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience & Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
College education or business management development preferred.
Minimum two (2) years progressive supervisory experience in a fast paced warehouse environment required.
