Overview
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Modification Technician to join our team in Romeoville, IL. This role provides in-house modifications to electric motors.
Starting rate: $21.93-$22.59/hour
Responsibilities
Modify electric motors per customer specification.
Produce reports and track activities performed in the Mod shop.
Work with visiting engineers and QA personnel to evaluate possible factory issues.
Be proficient with Word and Excel to produce reports and track activities in the Mod shop.
Work with the warehouse team to ensure proper placement of modified motors in inventory.
Support the Mod Shop Lead in accomplishing team goals and projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Knowledge / training
Strong knowledge of low voltage AC motors.
Ability to handle manual and power tools.
Understand and follow safety procedures.
Familiar with modification procedures.
Familiar with the inventory control system.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Strong knowledge of industry certification requirements.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Experience
0 - 5 years of related experience.
