Overview
The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western is currently seeking a Pipe Layer / Mechanical Pipefitter for the Central Water Group / Copper Mountain Project in Copper / Frisco, CO. The hourly rate of pay for this position is $30-$35 depending on experience. Responsibilities include performing pipe-laying tasks involving physical labor (laying, joining, wrapping, sealing) on construction sites, including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; operating hand and/or power tools as needed; and preparing the site while assisting with other duties as assigned. Responsibilities
Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections, clay, concrete, and other types of pipe for water/gas mains, sanitary sewers, and conduits Ability to work with crew members and operate a variety of hand and power tools as directed Ability to perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor Qualifications
1 year verifiable construction experience preferred Must be able to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly Strong work ethic and desire to learn Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening Division: Water Job Category: Trade Job Type: Full-time The Walsh Group, Ltd. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
