At BOBST, customer service is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician (FST), mechanical process expert for the corrugated board and litho‑laminating product line. The FST provides timely and efficient machine repairs and installations primarily for customers in this area and serves as the front‑line representative for the BOBST product range.
90% TRAVEL REQUIRED
– Candidates must have flexibility to travel extensively throughout the US and Canada. Ideal candidate located within 1 hour of a major international airport.
The FST is at the core of an extensive support network of service personnel worldwide. This trusted advisor is the key customer representative, responsible for confirming, clarifying, and meeting the customers’ expectations at every stage of contact and on every service or project related to our machines. The FST possesses a strong background in the principles of electrical and mechanical engineering and excels at solving problems with creativity, diligence, and a focus on excellent customer service.
Education
Technical school or college related to mechanics, technology science, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics engineering.
Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $70,000 – $80,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.

Key Skills & Attributes
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the packaging industry or finishing converting industry working as a mechanic operating litho‑laminator line (Asitrade) equipment.
Background in mechanical engineering.
Diagnosing faults and making recommendations in customer environments during production.
Performing maintenance and inspection work.
Strong knowledge of mechanical assemblies.
Candidate Considerations
Strong analysis skills and attention to detail.
Independent, responsible work style.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi‑task in a dynamic environment.
Fluency with metric system.
