Mechanical Stress Engineer

Mechanical Stress Engineer
to join our dynamic Cabin Engineering team, where innovation meets safety and comfort. This role is pivotal in ensuring the structural integrity and certification of aircraft cabin components across all phases of development—from concept to in-service support. You will work on a diverse range of cabin elements, from lightweight panels to complex seating suites integration and large installations such as galleys and crew rest compartments. Your expertise will help shape the future of aircraft interiors, ensuring they meet rigorous safety standards while delivering exceptional passenger experiences.
Responsibilities
Structural Analysis & Certification
Perform stress analysis and feasibility studies for cabin components.
Support A-Z development and certification processes.
Assess in-service occurrences and recommend engineering solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a key integrator between suppliers, internal engineering teams, and regulatory bodies.
Interface with ATA53 structure, Cabin Program Engineering, Office of Airworthiness, and aircraft authorities.
Supplier & Program Support
Guide and manage external suppliers and Risk Sharing Partners (RSPs).
Participate in test witnessing and validation activities.
Component Scope
Analyze and review components such as galleys, lavatories, stowages, partitions, linings, overhead stowage compartments (OHSC), and crew rest compartments (CRC).
Support document reviews and analysis activities using structured checklists.
Qualifications
Must Have
— Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Stress analysis in aeronautics
Simulation Modeling Experience (Hypermesh)
Finite Element Model
Static Analysis
Fatigue Analysis Experience
