Quality Mechanical Engineer/Inspector (Contractor)
Location: Detroit, MI. Must be able to travel to Detroit and nearby areas. This is a 1099 Contractor role. Flexibility in scheduling with 8:00‑hour shift may fluctuate. Project duration: recurrent/occurring often, may vary based on client needs.
Responsibilities:
Verification against contractual requirements.
Check for completeness.
Provide timely, detailed reports and photographic evidence as requested.
High availability and flexible job scheduling.
Technical & Industry Experience:
3–5 years of supplier audit experience in the automotive sector.
Quality certifications / Six Sigma.
Measuring experience.
Experience in quality inspections.
Experience in manufacturing processes.
Experience in data analysis.
Must be able to use MS Word and Excel to submit documents and reports within the specified time (usually within 24 hours after job completion).
Ability to work well in independent and group problem‑solving situations.
Ability to maintain a positive, professional disposition when adapting to occasional disruptions and unexpected events.
