What to Expect As a Production Supervisor, you will lead a dynamic team of Associates and Leads on the Gigafactory Production floor, managing operations and driving key metrics. You will collaborate cross‑functionally with manufacturing, engineering, NPI, and Material Flow teams to ensure production goals are met.
What You’ll Do
Build a strong, motivated production team capable of consistently delivering high‑quality products against aggressive production targets.
Empower the production team to collaborate with engineering to improve product manufacturability and line productivity.
Develop training programs and hiring plans for assembly team members.
Support issue resolution, including root‑cause investigation and corrective action tracking.
Ensure quality standards are met throughout the entire production process and support a no‑defect culture.
Develop and maintain Standardized Manufacturing Instructions used in production assembly.
Lead EHS assurance functions: ensure safety training is current, document EHS incidents, proactively correct workplace hazards, and empower continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of experience managing teams in a high‑volume manufacturing setting.
Experience in selecting and developing new team members.
Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs).
Capacity to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
Clear communication skills—excellent written and verbal; ability to interface with executives and leaders daily.
Fluency with common MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Flexibility to work a shift schedule, including nights and weekends, as needed.
