Mechanical/Senior Mechanical Engineer position at HDR. This person will be part of an integrated team responsible for the mechanical design in support of Data Center and other Mission Critical buildings and infrastructure. The role includes mentoring and training younger mechanical engineers. The Mechanical/Senior Mechanical Engineer will design projects from start to finish, coordinating with clients, project managers, electrical team members, architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, marketing members, and all team members. Responsibilities include feasibility reports, construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations, RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site investigations and construction administration. The position requires passion, self-motivation, and strong leadership to deliver technically excellent design solutions. In the role of Mechanical/Senior Mechanical Engineer, we count on you to: Coordinate the work of the mechanical design team through schematic design development and contract document phases Establish meetings and participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance Coordinate workload to complete the document on schedule Conduct work sessions at project sites with the Project Manager and other disciplines Review mechanical documents for conflicts with other disciplines Write and edit mechanical specifications, select equipment, systems and devices Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and incorporate changes into project documents Provide construction contract administration as needed Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Mechanical Project Engineers, Coordinators or CAD Technicians as needed Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications

Master\'s degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical system design for commercial or institutional buildings Data Center/Mission Critical facilities design experience Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required Required Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience in mechanical system design for commercial or institutional buildings Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license Experience in commercial or institutional facilities Proficiency with MS Office, Trane TRACE or similar software Experience with architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm Active participation in employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe & Our Commitment
