Maintenance Mechanic (Steel Pickling Facility) - 2nd and 3rd Shifts - $33.19/hour plus $1.00 shift differential

Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic based at our Pickling Facility in Harvey, IL. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing plant mechanical and electronic equipment.
What you'll do:
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical malfunctions on plant machinery and equipment, including dismantling, replacing defective parts, and testing.
Clean and lubricate machine parts such as shafts, bearings, gears, and pulleys.
Use precision measuring and testing instruments.
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and plumbing equipment, and clear clogged drains.
Perform construction and rigging activities as needed.
Document work performed and materials used via the Maintenance Work Order system.
Work at heights on ladders and scaffolds and in challenging positions.
Read and interpret blueprints and sketches, and create sketches as needed.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Operate lift trucks as necessary.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
Be available for overtime when required.
What you'll bring:
Experience in industrial manufacturing environments.
Strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency, with the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
Ability to pass employment screening, including a drug test.
Within 3 months, you'll:
Complete job-specific training and demonstrate progress.

Gain a basic understanding of your duties and expectations.
