Field Service Technician

Mansfield Service Partners is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fuel and lubricant tanks and equipment at customer sites in Covington, OH. This field-based role involves working with skid tanks, pumps, fueling systems, and related equipment. While some equipment transport is required, this is not a driving-focused role. A CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement is preferred, but we are open to candidates who are willing and able to obtain it. If you're resourceful, comfortable working outdoors, and enjoy solving mechanical challenges, this could be the perfect fit.
Responsibilities
Report in on completed and incomplete service calls with required documents and pictures
Repair or replace defective equipment in the field such as pumps, hoses, and nozzles
Lead on-Site installation, servicing, and repairs without direct supervision
Help identify process deficiencies and implement new processes
Provide customer support
Responsible for housekeeping in the warehouse
Assist in direct training and development of new employees
Other Duties
Provide and maintain fuel and lubricant related equipment through installations, service calls, repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections
Install and repair computerized fuel management systems to manage fuel disbursements
Sample product tanks for fuel and lubes
Perform field inspections and maintenance of MSP and customer owned tanks and related equipment
Deliver and pick up fuel and lube tanks
Rig out tanks to customer specification
Identify and report customer service, equipment, and SH&E issues to supervisor
Establishes and follows procedures and protocols; maintain consistency in work process
Maintain Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) compliance
Remove old and damaged decals off tanks
Clean tanks inside and outside and clean containment pan within the contained area
Paint cleaned out tanks and containment pans
Manage work area free of trash and garbage
Manage tank staging area organized by tank size
Clean up service spills
Inspect gasoline and diesel dispensers for any visible leaks on hoses and nozzles
Inspect all storage tank lids to confirm they are locked and tight
Submit daily inventory reports
Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to supervisor or other company personnel as directed
Will drive a company vehicle to pick up equipment and complete deliveries as needed
Physical and Environmental Conditions The position is outdoors and may involve dirt and dust, noise and vibration, fumes and odors, and wetness/humidity. May be exposed to mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards. Frequent actions include standing, walking, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; talking or hearing. Travel may be required by vehicle and airplane. May sit for long periods. Employee may lift up to 25 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday — Friday, 8:00 am — 5:00 pm. Travel up to 25% may be necessary.
Minimum Education, Experience, and Certification
One (1) to Two (2) years mechanical experience (automotive, industrial machinery)
Two (2) years' experience with fuel and lube pumps, nozzles, valves & fittings
Class A commercial driver’s license with tanker and hazmat endorsement preferred, or willing to obtain
TWIC Card preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must possess effective written and oral communication skills
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving techniques
Establishes and follows procedures and protocols; maintains consistency in work process
Experience with pumps and strong mechanical and technical abilities is a plus
