Construction Project Engineer Location:
New York, NY Start:
Spring 2026
Assist with planning and coordination of subcontractor activities within the area of responsibility.
Monitor subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence to project plans and promote quality control of all installations.
Support oversight of construction crafts/trades within an assigned area of responsibility.
Receive continual supervision and direction in performance of assigned tasks.
Receive technical and operational direction from the assigned Superintendent or Project Manager.
Enforce policies, procedures and related work rules as established by Field Management.
Assist with compliance of the AECOM Tishman safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment on the jobsite.
Work with document control systems, project management systems and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate—including updating drawings, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes and other documents as required.
When requested, interface with clients, architects, and design professionals to ensure compliance with design intent and client satisfaction.
Contribute to effective communication between field management, project management, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and specialty contractors to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications and company quality standards.
Continuously expand and update professional knowledge and training skills to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements
Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or a similar major.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Prior internship experience within the construction industry.
Experience working on a live construction site.
Ability to follow directions and interact with all levels of management on a working construction project.
Experience engaging with multiple trades on a construction project.
Additional Information

Compensation The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is
$31.19 to $54.57
per hour.
