Position Overview

The Arlon Graphics Maintenance Team is looking for a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join us at our 200k+ sqft facility located in Placentia, CA. We are seeking a hands‑on and strategic Maintenance Supervisor to lead and develop a team of 9 skilled technicians in an industrial manufacturing environment. This role is critical in driving operational uptime, improving service quality and speed, managing contractors, and enhancing equipment reliability through preventive and corrective maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills, and be capable of working cross‑functionally across departments. Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and support a team of 9 maintenance technicians to minimize machine downtime and improve response time and service quality. Develop technician capabilities to ensure independent troubleshooting and minimal supervision. Interview and evaluate new hire candidates to build a high‑performing team. Approve timesheets and conduct annual performance evaluations for direct reports. Lead department meetings to communicate process changes, company updates, and conduct regular safety discussions. Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting

Provide hands‑on support in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Serve as a subject‑matter expert during machine repairs, upgrades, and root cause analysis of repeated equipment failures. Downtime & Reliability Analysis

Analyze downtime data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement. Recommend and implement proactive measures to reduce and prevent recurring equipment breakdowns. Spare Parts & Inventory Management

Oversee spare parts inventory, reorder as necessary, and identify critical parts to be stocked based on risk, lead time, and cost. Evaluate and justify parts stocking decisions based on machine criticality and potential operational impact. Contractor & Vendor Management

Coordinate with external contractors for repair, maintenance, and upgrade work. Negotiate pricing, review completed work, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. Planning & Scheduling

Develop and manage weekly maintenance schedules and plan for major repairs and scheduled shutdowns. Allocate resources effectively to meet production and maintenance goals. Calibration & Compliance

Manage and maintain the equipment calibration program, ensuring all tools and devices are calibrated on schedule and meet compliance standards. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements across the maintenance team. Project Support & Commissioning

Participate in the commissioning of new equipment and systems. Provide input on design and functionality to ensure successful project implementation and long‑term maintainability. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues, prioritize work, and align departmental objectives. Manage and resolve conflicts within the team and with other departments in a professional and constructive manner. Process Improvement & Policy Development

Review and continuously improve maintenance department policies, procedures, and documentation to increase efficiency and consistency. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability within the team. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & interpersonal). Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Proficiency using a CMMS to track work orders and modify PMs as needed. Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and VFDs. Knowledge and experience with industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, motor control and VFDs. Pay Transparency

The current pay range for this position is between $85,000 and $105,000 per year. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job‑related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience. If hired, employment will be at will.
