The Supervisor, Aircraft Maintenance assures the safe and compliant execution of all aircraft maintenance activities, component repairs, contract maintenance and line service operations in accordance with federal, local and company regulations and guidelines.
Purpose of Position The Supervisor completes administrative work associated with the operation of the NJS Repair Station and manages employees within the rules of the collective bargaining agreement.
Tasks And Responsibilities
Plans and assigns technician resources. Monitors tooling and part requirements needed to complete work requirements and coordinates with internal and external customers to ensure requirements are available when needed. Coordinates with third party maintenance vendors to accurately forecast, plan and complete maintenance activities on time.
Ensures the safety of Repair Station employees and aircraft by monitoring work activity and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations as prescribed by the FAA, DOT, OSHA, EPA and company policies.
Responsible for ensuring Repair Station Certificate compliance with all policies and procedures as outlined in the NJS part 145 Repair Station and Quality Control Manual, Repair Station Training Manual, Line Service Manual, NJA General Maintenance Manual and Company Policy manuals.
Monitors work status and generates progress reports for NJS Repair Station Management and NJA Maintenance Departments. Ensures disruptions to maintenance durations are promptly communicated to NJA. Reviews proposed work for the NJS Repair Station, in CMH and the Field Service Teams, and determines acceptance per the NJS Operational Specifications and generates work orders in the NJS Repair Station computerized maintenance tracking system. Manages NJS Repair Station Field Service technicians and work orders ensuring compliance with Company and CBA rules.
Ensures that the NJS FBO services run efficiently and safely at all times when the FBO Supervisor is not on duty to include Aircraft Fueling, De-ice, Towing and Aircraft Cleaning operations. This includes assignment of work to NJS FBO employees and monitoring of work activities.
Handles administrative duties for employees to include payroll recordkeeping, time off requests, training needs, etc. Coaches and disciplines employees for violations of Company and CBA rules. Assures personnel issues are handled through coordination with Human Resources, Labor Relations, Leave of Absence, other NetJets departments and Repair Station leadership.
