Tesla . Tesla is looking for a highly motivated, goal‑oriented design technician to use Industrial Engineering and Lean Principles for manufacturing processes at the Lathrop Megafactory. Through a detailed understanding of the factory objectives and extensive collaboration with internal and external teams, the design technician will help improve processes to increase overall KPI’s (Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Cost, etc.). Tesla is demanding and fast‑paced, where you will work on a critical subsystem of an exciting product.
What You’ll Do
Manage work requests to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality products.
Collaborate with Industrial, Process Engineering, Material Flow, and PC‑Materials teams on design and solutions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Communicate opportunities for improvement and support continuous process optimization.
Develop and implement efficient systems to integrate people, machines, and materials.
Prepare and analyze production workflow data to identify and resolve constraints.
Apply 5S, JIT, Kanban, and problem‑solving methods to drive manufacturing excellence.
What You’ll Bring
Minimum two years of relevant experience using hand and shop tools.
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Strong communication skills and ability to perform under pressure.
Self‑motivated with minimal supervision and dedicated to customer satisfaction.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio and CAD/design experience a plus.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and formulas.
Command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Expected Compensation
$25.88 – $38.46 per hour + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
