Overview
Production Supervisor - Finishing/Industrial Paint Line Operations. On-site position located in Aurora, Ohio. 1st shift leadership role overseeing the Finishing Department, finishing processes and paint line operations. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the 1st shift team in finishing and paint line operations to meet daily production goals. Manage staffing, training, and development of team members; foster a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and production procedures. Monitor workflow, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and coordinate with maintenance to address equipment issues. Review production schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlines and customer requirements. Conduct regular performance evaluations, manage attendance, and participate in hiring and disciplinary processes in partnership with HR. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and OSHA standards. Ensure all products meet customer specifications and internal quality benchmarks. Provide timely and accurate production reports to leadership to support operational decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Fabrication, Engineering, Quality, and Shipping to ensure seamless operations. Experience & Skills
Proven experience in finishing operations, industrial painting, or manufacturing supervision. Strong understanding of finishing techniques, paint line processes, and quality control standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, 2D drawings, and technical specifications. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices. Effective leadership and team-building skills with the ability to coach and motivate employees. Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to collaborate across departments. Decisive problem-solving skills and the ability to manage time effectively to meet production and shipping deadlines. Proficient in using production tracking systems and reporting tools. Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred, or 5+ years in a manufacturing or finishing environment, with 2+ years in a supervisory role. What We Offer
