Salary: $33.05 – $40.17/hour + Comprehensive Benefits
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Oakdale Irrigation District (OID) is seeking a Fleet Equipment Mechanic / Welder to join our Fleet Maintenance Department. This is an excellent opportunity to build your career while supporting agriculture and water sustainability in Stanislaus County.
What You’ll Do
Inspect, diagnose, and repair District vehicles and construction equipment.
Perform smog and motor carrier inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
Repair or replace mechanical parts including brakes, clutches, alternators, exhaust systems, and steering components.
Perform welding and metal work at a journey-level capacity.
What We’re Looking For
4+ years of experience repairing automotive, truck, and construction equipment, including welding.
High school diploma (or equivalent); additional training in diagnostics preferred.
Valid California driver’s license and ability to obtain Class “A” within 6 months.
Clean driving record.
Structural steel welding certification (E7018) within 6 months.
