HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Columbia, South Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: MRI Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Title: MRI Technologist Location: Columbia, SC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift – 4x10-hour shifts (Wednesday–Saturday, 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM) Job Responsibilities: Perform high-quality MRI scans following established protocols and safety standards. Operate GE MRI equipment and related imaging systems (GE GEMS, PACS). Prepare and administer contrast media, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Start peripheral IVs and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures. Maintain accurate documentation and utilize Epic EMR for charting. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide quality diagnostic images. Follow infection control and isolation precaution standards. Participate in on-call rotation as required. Required Skills and Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent MRI technologist experience. Proficiency with GE MRI equipment and Epic EMR. Strong knowledge of MRI procedures, including: Head & Neck: Brain, MRA/MRV, Orbits, Neck. Spine: Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar, Sacrum/Coccyx. Abdomen & Pelvis: Abdomen, MRCP, MRA/MRV, Male/Female Pelvis. Musculoskeletal: Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Hand, Foot, Long Bones. Cardiovascular Imaging: MR Angio Lower Extremity, MR Aortogram, MR Pulmonary. Special Imaging Procedures: CINE, Gradient Echo, Post-Processing (MIP, ADC mapping), Multiplanar Reconstruction, Spin Echo, Surface Coils. Experience in adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and ER/trauma settings. Ability to float to other qualified units if required. Certifications (Required): ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT BLS (Basic Life Support) Preferred Skills: Experience with community hospital environments. Familiarity with contrast safety protocols and advanced image post-processing techniques. Additional Details: Call required; on-call and callback pay available. Patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric groups. Daily patient volume: approximately 15 scans per day. Scrub color: Hunter Green. First-time travelers accepted.
